Recycled Sari Ribbon Yarn is varied and beautiful. It is used for weaving, knitting, crochet, and many other textile arts. The ribbon yarns are created from the loose ends of saris that are collected from Indian industrial mills. From there it is distributed amongst a women's cooperative in rural areas, torn into strips, dyed with beautiful colours and wound into skeins. Working with the cooperative allows women to work from home and care for their families whilst being paid a fair wage.
